Amri Chakra

The amri collection is inspired from the swirling paisley patterns, a  popular ethnic design across centuries with varied history and influences. “Amri” meaning “mango” popularly known as “kairi design” in the indian subcontinent, it is a vegetal motif, as the shape looks similar to the ripe mango fruit and leaves. Traditionally these patterns were primarily seen woven on sarees and embroidered on shawls and also block printed on traditional textile. The collection reinterprets the traditional patterns in jewel tone patterns printed on luxurious velvet.
